Vietnam grew tea for a long, it changed through times
1890 -1945: the first tea plantation in Phu Tho 60 ha, Quang Nam 250 ha, Quảng Ngãi 1900 ha .1925 -1940: It’s about 2500 ha grew in Middle highland and in 1938 Vietnam tea area was up to 13.405 ha. According to statistics, tea output 10.900 tons, ranked 6th after Srilanka, China, India, Japan, Indonesia.
Nowadays, Vietnam ranks the fifth of biggest export tea countries and the event of biggest manufacturing tea countries in the world. Vietnam has 124.000 ha tea in area with output 500.000 tons of dried tea.
